Thanks for this review. A few things are incorrect however. Rhys Cocker did not sing with choral accompaniment at all- the Crucifixus etiam pro nobis is for bass solo. The solo with chorus was Et incarnatus est with Jamie Young. The Agnus Dei is a duet with Jamie Young, Rhys Cocker and chorus. We are lucky enough also to have Rhys singing as a member of Capital Choir and also, in this performance, of Wainuiomata Choir. He adds a great deal as a choral singer but of course is not required to project above other choral singers and should not be reviewed as a soloist when singing as part of a choir, as in Sure on this shining night.

Wainuiomata Choir had brand new green, white and black patterned scarves and ties. They will be disappointed you didn't notice!
